Lloyd Cole and the Small Ensemble Hits The Road & Makes a Live Record

According to our friend Mark Schwaber’s personal blog Lloyd Cole and the Small Ensemble will be embarking on a winter tour this month. The tour, having begun with a warm-up show at The Brass Cat in Easthampton, MA, will be stopping in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago along the way. Bill Toms will be opening for the band in Pittsburgh. Lloyd has mentioned on his site that he will play solo for a half hour set at some of the shows.

Lloyd Cole and the Small Ensemble is a small collective, as their name implies, consisting of: Lloyd Cole (steel string guitar & banjo), Matt Cullen (steel string guitar & banjo), and Mark Schwaber (Nylon and steel string guitar, mandolin). They have recently recorded a live album that will be available at the upcoming shows and then on Lloyd Cole’s website; http://www.lloydcole.com/

About the Author

Little Rat Bastard.com had it’s official launch on “Leap Day” February 29th, 2008, and since then has been providing it’s readers with (mostly) well written reviews, as well as original news articles, RSS feeds, links to your favorite artists pages & social networks, plus links to purchase both new & old music alike. On average LittleRatBastard.com gets visited about 60,000 times a month and our reader base is still growing as is our list of offerings. We are currently looking to expand into artist interviews, and reviews of live shows. We have founded ourselves on the idea that most people would like to read a review written by and from the perspective of someone like themselves, as opposed to a professional critic. Our reviewers include people of widely ranging; ages, backgrounds, and musical preferences, and of course The Rat.
