Having grown way past the song hit song that made the Hanson brothers famous they are now young men with great musical talent and an fabulous rapport with their fans. Over the fifteen years or so since we first heard of them Issac, Taylor, & Zac have been releasing albums, touring, and gaining a loyal audience that loves them for more than MMMBop.
Leading up to the show, Hanson gave the fans the opportunity to vote on their set list for the night. The consensus came in and the band played their 2004 album ‘Underneath.’ This is the kind of thing that sets this group apart, by all industry logic they should be out there promoting their latest release 2010′s ‘Shout It Out’ but instead they spent nearly two hours playing the tunes the audience wanted to hear the most. For this reason combined with their fans allegiance and the raw talent rampant amongst the brothers Hanson will likely continue recording & touring for a long time to come.
Opening tonight for Hanson was the lovely indie-pop songstress, Meiko who gave us a taste of what to expect from her new album that will hopefully be coming soon. Meiko is always a delight to listen to live or otherwise and frankly doesn’t get the credit she deserves.
